Who’s got what it takes to be a National Treasure?
Celebrities find out if they have done enough to earn the accolade of National Treasure 2015
Stephen Fry, Miranda Hart and Sheridan Smith are on the hunt to find the celebrity who will be named ‘National Treasure 2015’.
The trio have been chosen to sit on the judging panel in a must-see sketch for this year’s Red Nose Day. Written by David Walliams and the Dawson Brothers, viewers will see some of the biggest names in showbiz discover if they have done enough to earn the title.
Those hoping to impress the panel include Russell Brand, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, David Gandy, Katie Price, Robbie Williams and The Chuckle Brothers.
“To make a good Comic Relief sketch you need something special, you need big guest stars and something you can only see on that one day of the year – Red Nose Day,” said David Walliams. “For me, this is hopefully all of those things.
“I’m really excited about this year’s Red Nose Day campaign because it’s a real bumper year for comedy, and the whole reason that I loved Comic Relief at school and beyond was because I loved comedy. The point of the evening is to raise money, but unless you’ve got some great comedy that people really want to see, you’re not going to raise as much as you would otherwise.”
Red Nose Day is back on Friday 13th March with an unmissable evening of entertainment. Comic Relief – Face the Funny, will take place live from the London Palladium and will be presented by television favourites including John Bishop, Russell Brand, Lenny Henry, Davina McCall, David Walliams and Claudia Winkleman.
You can watch all of the action on BBC One from 7pm and if you can’t wait until then, check out the trailer for Comic Relief – Face the Funny.
